TripAdvisor issues their annual Travelers’ Choice Awards based on reviews that they receive by millions of people. TripAdvisor has become the world’s largest travel community and for that reason, many people turn to TripAdvisor for advice before booking travel online. Today, travelers are trusting reviews more than property websites when deciding where to stay. As such, TripAdvisor has become tremendously influential. To receive a Travelers’ Choice Award is a huge honor. There is also a “Dirtiest Hotel” list, which is a crushing blow to a company’s reputation!
