With this release, RezStream unveils its long anticipated “City Ledger” module, which offers split billing and direct billing capabilities. This update also provides numerous enhancements to RezStream Professional PMS and the RezStream Booking Engine.
KEY NEW FEATURES in RezStream Professional 2009.5:
- RezStream Professional now includes a “City Ledger” module with new Split Billing and Direct Billing tabs found on the right side of the Contact Data screen. RezStream users now have the flexibility to split invoice charges among multiple guests, make split payments, and also transfer invoice charges to companies for direct billing purposes. This feature is perfect for hotels, resorts, outfitters and dude ranches that need to split charges to several or more invoices.
- New direct billing statements and revenue reports are now found within the “Billing” folder on the right hand side of the Reports screen. This allows you to send monthly client billing statements and access key revenue information for direct billing clients. Note: Contacts must be designated as “business” contacts to show up in these reports.
- New wider Contact Data screen. Note: A minimum monitor screen resolution of 1280 pixels is required to fully utilize this new enhancement! Click here for easy procedures to change your resolution. The Contact Data screen has been reorganized to consolidate tabs, allowing easier access to vital information and the ability to display more contact information. Main enhancements include: key notes display on top right side of screen, credit card drop down menu defaults to current year, easier access to group reservation dialogue and list of group members, custom invoice fields added to main details tab, and two notes tabs merged into one tab. This new layout makes it trouble-free for RezStream customers to access important customer information.
- Contact Data screen improvements. The email field was expanded to 255 characters and a display issue was corrected so that the second deposit field now displays the correct remaining amount due.
- Point of sale enhancements. RezStream added a percentage sales item to the point of sale module. Use this feature by creating a new point of sale item with a % or +% symbol at the end of the item to calculate a total percentage charge on all invoice items or just on the unit revenue. This addition is ideal for selling travel insurance or other percentage based point of sale items. RezStream also expanded the “edit invoice screen” to ensure all information is displayed no matter how many items are sold. This change repairs a past issue where triple digit sales quantities did not display properly on the edit invoice screen.
- “Exit” icon now appears at program log in screen for customers forgetting their log in password. This update also includes our new “strong password” feature, which requires RezStream customers to change their password every 90 days and use a strong password to enter RezStream Professional or view credit card data within the system. (Note: Strong passwords must be 7-20 characters long and include at least one upper case character, one lower case character, and one number.) This feature allows RezStream to be in compliance with the latest credit card security standards. The software also logs all employee access to credit card information.
- Bug fixes. RezStream resolved a connection change issue for InnRes online availability customers and fixed some calculation issues with the “Net Account Changes” and “Account Balances” reports. We added code to prevent an erroneous duplicate payment message for RezStream customers utilizing the “Merchant Partners” credit card gateway as well as resolved an issue where the “auto update” feature for the RezStream Booking Engine would sometimes turn itself off after a credit card payment had just been processed.
KEY NEW FEATURES in the RezStream Booking Engine:
- Enhanced the layout of information at step two of the online booking interface. Photos now display instead of a camera icon. In addition, detailed text descriptions also display and the character limit for unit names (for RezStream customers who display availability by unit type) has been expanded from 15 to 30 characters. Call RezStream support at 303-872-0220 (option 2) for help with adding photos to your online booking engine or expanding your unit descriptions.
- A progress indicator was added to improve customer usability while waiting for availability searches to display.
- Added the capability to display photos of point of sale and package items at step three of the online booking process.
- RezStream also improved the booking engine performance, fixed a number of browser-specific display issues, and addressed other minor booking engine bugs.
