Did you know that you could quickly create a reservation quote from the Reserve Day screen in RezStream Professional? Many times, a reservationist will receive a call from a potential guest who is simply inquiring about the price of a room for a specific arrival and departure date. The potential guest could be comparing rates and is not quite ready to book a reservation. Welcome to RezNEWS.  This month, RezStream is pleased to announce its recent move to a new office location in Denver, Colorado.  Due to the company’s rapid growth and the desire to maintain the highest level of customer service, it was necessary for RezStream to increase its office space.  With this expansion, the office now includes a training facility that will allow RezStream to offer on-site customer training and Internet marketing seminars.   Click here for information about RezStream’s new office location.

Last month’s feature article explored the basics and benefits of dynamic packaging.  This month’s article will discuss how hospitality businesses can profit by applying the same principles that large travel websites employ to construct and sell creative dynamic packages.

Any exploration of how to create dynamic packages must begin with an evaluation of available local resources; times that activities are possible and the logistics of combining different vacation components.  Good questions to explore are:

• What can a tourist do while staying in my area?
• Where are the interesting places to see and visit?
• When can the tourist visit a particular place?
• How can the tourist get to the destination to see or do an activity?
• What local resources can I combine to create attractive packages?

All website links are created equal.

As you work towards optimizing your property’s website, you might become familiar with the term link building.  Link building is an important search engine optimization technique which involves constructing quality inbound links to your website.  There are several ways in which you can achieve this task.  However, some of these methods are more rewarding and beneficial than others.  In the process of deciding your link building strategy, you probably will encounter the popular misconception that any link to your website is a good link.  In this month’s Myth Buster, RezNEWS will address common link building practices that if used, which could turn out to be a waste of time, money and energy.

Why is link building important?
Link building is the process of placing a link to your web page on an external website.  Link building is quintessential in increasing website importance.  The more important a search engine believes your website to be, the higher up it will be in the search engine rankings.  Simply stated, a link to your website is considered a vote and the more votes your website has, the higher rankings your website will receive.
