More businesses have added spa services, meeting room facilities, boat rentals, or similar hourly reservation items. To better serve our diverse clients, we have significantly expanded the capabilities of the Hourly Reservation Screen. We have also added further reservation discounting options and enhanced package-discounting options. Highlights of this release are itemized below.
ENHANCED FEATURES included in RezStream Professional 2006.9.5:
- Click and drag on the Hourly Reservation Screen and then press <ENTER> to access the new hourly reservation options. Reserve any hourly rental unit, for any desired length of time, without first browsing to the unit. This added feature significantly reduces the time it takes to make hourly reservations, particularly if your business has multiple hourly rental units.
- Easily set default reservation times for the Hourly Reservation Screen. Access this option from Tools > Display Options > Hourly. This handy function allows you to set the parameters for hourly rentals for businesses with set operating hours.
- Create unlimited hourly rates and packages that may be selected while making an hourly reservation. View reservation details while making hourly reservations.
- Make recurring hourly reservations by the day, week, or month. Choose the option that best meets your business needs to quickly create multiple repeating hourly reservations.
- Take advantage of the new discount tab on the Edit Invoice Screen. This feature allows users to fine tune discounts by item type (daily, hourly, packages, etc.) and then apply reservation discounts without any manual calculation.
- Users may also override total package pricing from the Packages tab on the Edit Invoice Screen. Simply type in the desired override amount and all package items will be recalculated and adjusted to the corresponding total price of the package.
- Benefit from two new hourly occupancy reports (Reports > Revenue by Unit > Hourly Units) and upgrades to our existing gift certificate reports.
- The credit card processing module can now accommodate more payment changes at check-out time. Front desk personnel will be warned if a different card is used at check-out than was used for pre-authorization. Options now include the ability to post to the original card or select the new card for a retail transaction. A past issue regarding refunding payments for users with multiple credit card payment accounts has been corrected.
- Utilize the new shift change payment report (Reports > Payments > Shift Change). Specify payments by time of day to see payments for a given time period. This feature is ideal for larger properties that need to split payments by time of day.
- Access key reservation information after canceling reservations. We have added key reservation information to the invoice notes for all deleted reservations. For more information view the Cancellation Report under: Tools>Revenue by Unit>Cancellation Report.
- Reported bugs have been addressed and fixed. Issues related to scrolling while in a weekly view have been resolved. Calculation problems in gift certificate report columns have been fixed. Totals to the bottom of gift certificate reports have been added. Revenue accounts are now accurate when editing an invoice item. Check-in and check-out features now work properly if the edit invoice option was selected, but later cancelled.

If you thought RezStream 2006 was great, just wait until you see RezStream 2007! Split billing and City Ledger features will be available with this update. Enhanced package capabilities, a new restaurant POS module, and a key-lock module, are just some of the exciting additions in RezStream 2007.
