ENHANCED FEATURES found in RezStream Professional 2007.0.0:
Enhanced support for additional age groups:
RezStream Professional 2007 now includes two additional age group options for making daily reservations, hourly reservations, or when packages are added to reservations. To edit the labels for each age group, go to: Tools>List Edit>Labels>Rate Person Types. Remember to close and re-open RezStream Professional after changing any labels. A total of four age groups will then be available for daily rates, hourly rates, package rates, etc. The new age group options also work with our enhanced package options, detailed below.
New package rates:
RezStream Professional 2007 adds significant functionality to its package module. A new “Rate” trigger allows the easy creation of “inclusive packages” that maintain a unique unit rate when combined with other package items. The new trigger works with regular package options to create special daily rates, per person charges, per stay charges, and more. This new functionality allows users to create and select special packages, which bypasses the normal unit charges, if applicable. RezStream Professional users will be able to charge per person per day, per person per stay, and other options as either a unit rate or a package rate. RezStream has also added two additional age groups for businesses that charge per person, per day, or per person per stay, based on package rates.
New package invoices:
There are two new package invoice choices: a “Daily Package Invoice plus POS” that displays the package price for each day plus lists any additional point of sale items that have been purchased; and a “Package Summary plus POS” that displays the total price of the package and then lists separately any point of sale items that are purchased. Two extra invoice options allow you to hide items with “zero values” or hide “package quantities,” a feature beneficial depending on how packages are created. Go to: Tools>Configure>Reports to view all invoice options. Call RezStream support at 303-872-0220 if you have questions about this enhanced package functionality.
New package letter codes:
New package letter codes will benefit businesses that send confirmation letters with detailed package information. Go to: Tools>Letter Design>Codes (top center of screen) to view added package letter codes for package start date, package end date, package rate, package rate per person, package description, and several specialty codes for advanced package needs. There are also new letter codes for the two new age groups referenced above.
Contact Data screen:
This screen now displays the name(s) of packages that have been added for each reservation. From the Contact Data screen, click the Detail tab (bottom right side of screen) to see a list of packages that are assigned to each invoice.
New RezStream Booking Engine package options:
Utilize “dynamic packaging” (packages with multiple items and triggers for frequency) from within the RezStream Booking Engine. Online guests can also book multiple packages and packages with special unit rates. All package items will automatically be downloaded directly into RezStream Professional. If you currently are using the RezStream Booking Engine, call RezStream support at 303-872-0220 for assistance in setting up packages for your online customers.
New unit rate and hourly rate options:
Now it’s easy to apply daily rates or hourly rates as a “one time per stay.” This is helpful for businesses that only charge one fee regardless of the length of a reservation. To access this option, go to: Tools>Unit and Rate Setup>Unit Rate Plans. Left click in the “Rate Period” column (Rate Names, step #2) to change the charge frequency to “one time per stay.” You can also create additional person charges of up to four age groups. Simply fill in additional person charges (Seasonal Rates, step #3) as needed.
New property management module features:
Scheduled charges may now be included as a percentage fee or a fixed dollar amount. Go to: Tools>Property Management>Charge Items and click the “Type” column to specify whether the charge is a dollar amount or a percentage charge. You may also specify the frequency of each charge by clicking in the “Frequency” column. An added calculation tool allows users to quickly enter quantities and amounts for unscheduled miscellaneous charge items. To access this new feature, click the “Charge Items” tab within the property management module and then click on “Add New Item” to use the calculation tool.
Support for RezTracker discontinued:
Effective in version 2007.0, RezStream Professional will no longer support the RezTracker Availability system. RezTracker is not a RezStream product and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause existing RezStream customers. If you are currently using RezTracker you may continue to use RezTracker as long as you do not download ANY RezStream updates. We are offering all RezTracker users a special price to upgrade their availability services to the RezStream Booking Engine. For more details, call 866-360-8210.
Resolutions to reported errors:
A number of repeatable bugs have been corrected in RezStream Professional 2007. For details, call RezStream support at 303-872-0220.

What’s next at RezStream?
Many of our users have expressed a desire to split invoices and to be able to directly bill third party reservation companies. This practice is often called “city ledger.” Now that RezStream Professional 2007 has significantly enhanced its unit rate options, package rate options, and has added support for more age group rates, RezStream can turn its attention to this very important feature. We will keep you informed about including this advanced feature in RezStream Professional. The RezStream restaurant module is nearly finished, with beta testing commencing in January. Stay tuned for even further enhancements to the entire RezStream product line in 2007!
