Built in 1802, the Camden Maine Stay Inn is the second oldest of 66 homes listed on the National Register of Historical Places in the High Street Historic District of one of Maine’s most photographed seaside villages. This stately bed and breakfast features two parlors with wood burning fireplaces, original wide plank pine flooring, Oriental rugs, period furnishings, and a sun porch that overlooks the B & B’s two-acre garden. Eight guest rooms are individually decorated with an eclectic mix of pieces that evoke the essence of New England. Antique bed frames are paired with new mattresses, bathrooms are modern, and rooms are air-conditioned. A delectable full breakfast, implementing area specialties, is an event that all guests look forward to each morning.
Within four blocks of Camden Maine Stay Inn, guests can access over 30 miles of trails at Camden Hills State Park, golf at one of the country’s premier courses, sail in a windjammer, eat freshly caught lobster, or hike to the top of famous Mt. Battie. A short stroll down tree-lined paths takes guests to the Harbor Park, local shops and over 15 fine dining establishments.
