Block Island, RI 02807
The Nature Conservancy has tagged Block Island as one of the last great places in the Western Hemisphere. Located just twelve miles off the coast of southern Rhode Island, Block Island is an outdoor lover’s paradise, with 17 miles of public beaches to explore, sailing, swimming, hiking, bird watching and biking. The perfect home base for your Block Island stay is one of three special Island Inns properties: The Inn at Block Island (a 1900 Colonial perched on a knoll in Old Harbor), The Barrington Inn (an 1886 Victorian farm house overlooking the New Harbor area), and The Jane Marie Cottage (a seven-bedroom home nestled off Old Town Road). Both The Inn at Block Island and The Barrington Inn are open May through October, while The Jane Marie Cottage is open year round.
The Inn at Block Island has nine charming guest rooms, all with private baths, as well as a small cottage rental. All guests enjoy the wraparound porch with ocean views, complimentary breakfast, afternoon wine, and snacks. Beach chairs and towels are provided at no charge and pet-friendly rooms are available. At The Barrington Inn, guests can opt for one of six guest rooms with private baths, or perhaps one of two apartments, each with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, living room, private deck, and ocean views. Each apartment can accommodate up to five. Besides its seven bedrooms, The Jane Marie Cottage is fully outfitted with two refrigerators and dishwashers, a gourmet stove, full-sized outdoor gas grill, outside shower, satellite television and WIFI. Each one of these three Island Inns properties offers a wonderful retreat while spending time at the vacation paradise known as Block Island.
