The mad scientists (development team) have heard your feedback and delivered! The Cloud PMS will now automatically create a letter code for any custom field you create. For those of you that track arrival/departure times and wish to input that data you’ve collected right into letters, you can now do so. Others have asked for the ability to have codes populate letters based on custom fields related to parking, food restrictions, package items, etc.
In addition to custom letter codes, the team has also updated the user interface on how you interact with those codes. You will now find the letter codes in a dialog box on the right-hand side of the letter you are working in. We have sorted codes by categories to streamline your efficiency. Please remember there are 150+ letter codes as well as any that you create, using the “search option” to find the letter code you need is likely the easiest method.

Custom Field Creation + Letter Code(s):
If you wish to have a custom field and an associating letter code, please make your way to Configuration > Custom Fields and Dates to create the field. You will need to assign that field to display on:
- “People” data (Contact record)
- “Reservation" data (Reservation Detail Page).
Upon saving that custom field, an auto-generated letter code will be created that is tied to the custom field you created. This letter code will be automatically assigned to the appropriate letter code category. Please use the search function when attempting to add that letter code to your letter(s).
