Know your guests better and find them faster
One of the best things about boutique hotels and inns is the familial feeling guests have when staying at your property. You know them and want to make sure they have a great stay at your property time and time again. It almost feels like each time you’re keeping track of sticky notes with information about the guest: their room preference, their dog’s name, how many anniversaries they’ve celebrated at your property, and so on. We’re impressed with how much you know and remember about them!
Make your life a bit easier by accessing those virtual sticky notes with the Cloud PMS’ tagging feature. Think online sticky notes that can be attached to mostly anything in the reservation system. We’ve broken the tagging feature into three levels: tags for an individual guest, tags for reservations, and tags for each unit or room. Examples of tags for each level include:
Guest level: VIP status, allergies, source of booking, their history with the property
Reservation level: Packages, POS items, anniversary
Unit/Room level: Tag the amenities, hot tub, mountain view, pet-friendly, city view
Now when Jack and Diane check in on September 13, you can congratulate them on their anniversary or even have a hand-written note waiting for them in their favorite mountain view room. Your guests love the personal touch you offer them but now you have more help keeping tabs on your guests’ preferences.
An added bonus for you is that you can also generate reports based on the tags that you create. At the Admin level, you determine which tags you want your staff to use when taking reservations or communicating with a guest. You create the tags specific to your property, that way no extraneous tags are being created in your PMS by any other user. If you want to know how many guests reserved their stay from Expedia.com®, not a problem, you can create a report singling out that tag. Now, you have a report of guests you can market to to book directly on your site instead of through an OTA.
Our Beta testers are still testing the system thoroughly, especially the tagging feature to see all of its capabilities.
