We have just released two new sales reports. One is bookings by channel and the other is booking by source. In lodging we have all seen how we’ve “sold” a room only for that sale not to actually become revenue because the guest cancelled their reservation. Being able to track sales is a vital part in assisting you in operating your business. You need that data to help you make decisions related to staffing, adjusting rates, and even be able to determine what is and isn’t selling appropriately.
Our sales by channel report will help you understand which channels are selling. Channels would be defined as your online booking engine, mobile booking engine, and even Booking.com as examples. We’ve also added a second report which is sales by source. Some examples of sources could include bedandbreakfast.com, VRBO, walk ins, weddings, etc.
