The Need… For Speed!
When you have a customer on the phone or standing in front of you, waiting for your reservation system to load is not ideal. At rezStream, we understand your need for speed, and we take performance seriously. Therefore, we will make a series of updates this year to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of your rezStream software.
Last week, we released an update that was the first step in this process. In this release, we’ve optimized the initial load of the application and reworked how we render rate information on the Occupancy Map. You will notice the following improvements:
- When you first sign in to the app (or you refresh your browser with the app open), the app will load up and render faster. For people with lots of rates and or lots of rate seasons, you might notice a dramatic speed boost!
- When you visit the Occupancy Map, the rate information will now display progressively and therefore you won’t have to wait as long to start working!
- Finally, with these changes in place, we were able to make the Occupancy Map automatically update in real-time when rates change either via Yield Management triggers or manual rate changes.
To give you an example, we took some before and after screenshots of the initial application load times when refreshing the browser while viewing the Occupancy Map. What used to look like this:
